HOBART USES ADVICE FROM THE FIELD TO DESIGN NEW SLICER
Hobart sought input from end users in restaurants, grocery stores, delicatessens, institutional and education foodservice, as well as industry consultants, to identify the core features users need in a new slicer. The result: Hobart’s 3000 Series Slicer has simplified controls, improved geometry, an enhanced carriage design and several other innovations that make the slicer easier to use, quicker to clean and able to deliver improved slice quality to every phase of operation.
With a 50-degree cutting plane and glass-bead-finished gauge plate and top knife cover, the 3000 Series has a smoother glide against the knife while improving operator visibility of the sliced product. The tray itself is lighter in weight than other models, making repeated loading and unloading easier. The new linear motor allows automatic models to have a lower profile and working height, further enhancing ergonomics and reducing operator fatigue.
Cleaning the 3000 Series is as easy as using it. The product tray can be tilted away from the center of the slicer for proper cleaning, and can even be removed for a more thorough sanitization. The profile design of the 3000 Series increases the space between the motor housing and the knife for easier access and faster, more effective wipe-down. The gas-piston lift assist on the full-featured models makes lifting the unit easier for cleaning beneath the base. Because the index mechanism is separated from the food and splash zone, moving parts are less likely to be contaminated during operation.
