Access Automatic Prepack

So easy to use, all the operator has to do is watch.

Thanks to an advanced image-recognition system, the Access automatically centers the tray, then measures the width, length and height of the package. Next it selects the optimum film size, and wraps and labels the package. The operator doesn't have to make adjustments or reprogram the wrapper for varying tray sizes—the Access does it all, for more efficient throughput and lower cost per package.

With the Access, there is no need to stop and reorient packages, which means more consistent quality and fewer mistakes and rewraps. Even the film is easier to load—the Hobart Access Wrapping System allows both side and back access to the film area. Operators can even load film with one hand—the film slides on the shaft and centers automatically.

Handles larger packages with ease.

The Access can handle larger, taller and wider packages, and it can process trays up to 10" by 16". The redesigned intake/scale area even allows the operator to weigh larger pre-wrapped packages, such as ham or turkey, and label them (versus having to take the package to a remote hand-wrap station).

The Hobart Access Prepack Scale features a large 10.4" diagonal, color LCD screen that makes fonts easier to read for faster operation. Make selections on the screen with the touch of a finger or a stylus. Flash-keys or speed keys, with programmable background colors, let the operator categorize the most common PLUs. You can also adjust the screen's viewing angle for comfort.

Easy to navigate. The intuitive interface and drop-down menus make using the Access simple and direct. You can program the Go-To keys to go directly to a location, bypassing the menus, for even greater efficiency. The user can also define the display of auxiliary fields in operate mode.

Search by PLU or partial description. Users can search the database by PLU or, if they don't know the PLU, by partial description—the first four letters will do. They can also search by approximate PLU number.

 

Spray debris away.

Perhaps the most amazing feature of this amazingly easy-to-use wrapper is how easy it is to thoroughly clean. You merely spray down the Access with a standard industry spray-hose detergent/sanitizer system—it's that simple. Place the convenient, easy-to-secure covers on the control panel/interface and the printer(s), and then spray away.

The side access doors, intake area opening, wrap path and package exit opening provide convenient access to the interior of the wrapper, so you can get at the debris and particles trapped inside.

It takes only a matter of minutes to spray. The operator can then let the Access dry overnight or wipe it down with a towel. Once the film-clamping components are wiped dry, the unit is ready to go.

It's also a Web browser.

The Access is a multi-communications tool. With either a wired or wireless Ethernet connection, you can access the Internet or a customized store Web site, or use it to access weekly or daily information, employee schedules, new product information and more.

Every operator or supervisor screen is a Web page that can be accessed remotely via Internet Explorer. Diagnostic information can also be retrieved. Scale configuration and the PLU database can be verified or modified. Supervisors can monitor the real-time use of the scale.

Easy to upgrade. Hobart firmware can be easily upgraded via the network or a USB Flash drive. The database and configuration can also be backed up to a USB Flash drive.

Life-tested. The Access has been extensively tested to simulate thousands of hours of real-world use, ensuring reliable operation and durable performance.
