Access Semi Product

Quick Facts

  • Automatically centers and wraps trays
  • Simple, spray-off cleaning
  • Smaller bar codes allow more label merchandising
  • High-resolution printer enhances readability and maximizes merchandising efforts

The emphasis is definitely on the automatic.

Thanks to the identical advanced image-recognition system, the Access semi-automatic automatically centers the tray, and then measures the width, length and height of the package. Next it selects the optimum film size and wraps the package. The operator doesn’t have to make adjustments or reprogram the wrapper for varying tray sizes.

With the Access, there is no need to stop and reorient packages, which means more consistent quality and fewer mistakes and rewraps. Even the film is easier to load—the Hobart Access Wrapping System allows both side and back access to the film area. Operators can even load film with one hand—the film slides on the shaft and centers automatically.

The only thing that makes it semi-automatic is the hand application of the labels, but the labels have all the merchandising power as the fully automatic Access does.

Higher resolution printing. Smaller labels. More powerful merchandising. The Access semi-automatic wrapping system also uses high-resolution printing to create labels. As a result of the increased resolution, the labels are smaller. That leaves more room for your merchandising message, including more impactful graphics.

Handles larger packages with ease. The Access semi-automatic can handle larger, taller and wider packages, easily processing trays up to 10" by 16". The redesigned intake/scale area even allows the operator to weigh larger pre-wrapped packages, such as ham or turkey, and label them (versus having to take the package to a remote hand-wrap station).

Easy to use. The large 10.4" diagonal, color LCD screen makes fonts easier to read for faster operation. The operator can make selections on the screen with the touch of a finger or a stylus. Flash keys or speed keys, with programmable background colors, let the operator categorize the most common PLUs. The screen’s viewing angle can be adjusted for operator comfort and efficiency.

Easy to navigate. The intuitive interface and drop-down menus make using the Access semi-automatic simple and direct. You can program the Go-To keys to go directly to a location, bypassing the menus, for even greater efficiency. The user can also define the display of auxiliary fields in operate mode.

Search by PLU or partial description. Users can search the database by PLU or, if they don’t know the PLU, by partial description—the first four letters will do. They can also search by approximate PLU number.

Remote monitoring and diagnostics. The Access semi-automatic system is a multi-communications tool, too. With either a wired or wireless Ethernet connection, you can monitor its performance at any time and perform remote diagnostics.

Saves energy and space. The Access semi-automatic will automatically shut down when not in use, saving energy. With its integrated design, it also reduces floor space requirements. It has an automatic Off/On timer for the heated sealer belt, too.

Finally the Access semi-automatic wrapping system is built by Hobart, which means it’s more than semi-tough.
