Hobart Announces 2024 Equipment Grant Winner

TROY, Ohio (July 25, 2024) –  Hobart, the premium commercial food equipment manufacturer known for designing and building some of the most reliable, must-have equipment, has announced Greendale Schools in Greendale, Wis. as the 2024 recipient of the Hobart Food Equipment Grant. Hobart awards the grant annually through participation with the School Nutrition Foundation (SNF). 

Greendale Schools received the grant based on the demonstrated need for new equipment and planned initiatives for increasing the offering of fresh fruits and vegetables for students. Greendale Schools chose a Hobart®  Legacy+ ® HL600 maximum heavy-duty mixer (60 quarts) to replace its 60-year-old mixer, along with a FP150 continuous feed food processor. The food processor will help process produce grown in the district’s high school garden, as well as lowering labor costs.

Fresh fruits and vegetables help with their physical, mental and academic wellbeing,” says Cindy Kacmarcik, director of school nutrition, Greendale Schools. “We are so thankful to Hobart for supporting us with this grant.”
