ITW Food Equipment Group Products Earn Best in Class Honors in 2016

Hobart, Traulsen and Vulcan Recognized in Multiple Product Categories

GLENVIEW, Illinois – (Dec. 16, 2016) – Building on its reputation for outstanding quality and performance, ITW Food Equipment Group products have earned Best in Class distinctions for three of the company’s most prominent brands.

Hobart, Traulsen and Vulcan equipment were recognized by Foodservice Equipment & Supplies (FE&S) magazine for manufacturing equipment that foodservice operators, consultants and dealers say are the industry’s category leaders.

FE&S magazine’s Best in Class Awards recognize food equipment and supply manufacturers that have achieved best in class status in the eyes of their supply chain partners. FE&S determines this by asking foodservice operators, dealers and consultants to evaluate heavy equipment, light equipment and smallwares on seven characteristics:

  • product quality
  • product value
  • product design and aesthetics
  • service and support
  • sales representation
  • product inventory and availability
  • product information availability

In the heavy equipment category, Hobart products were category winners in warewashers and floor mixers, Traulsen products won the blast chillers category, and Vulcan products won for charbroilers and gas and electric ranges. In the light equipment category, Hobart was the category winner in electric slicers, while Vulcan won the category of countertop griddles.

This is the eighth year that an ITW FEG brand has appeared on the FE&S Best in Class list, having won every year since the magazine began the awards in 2009.
