Hobart Announces School Grant Winner For New Food Prep Equipment

TROY, Ohio (May 26, 2021) – Hobart, the premium commercial food equipment manufacturer known for designing and building some of the most reliable, must-have equipment, is excited to announce the winner of a recent equipment grant: Whitman-Hanson Regional School District in Whitman, Massachusetts. Hobart participated in the grant-giving opportunity through the School Nutrition Foundation and is pleased to offer up to $20,000 in food prep equipment to the school.

The grant selection process was based on the school’s need for new kitchen equipment. It also took into account plans for implementing the equipment to improve their food offerings and to build up their school nutrition program.

“We are so thankful to be selected by Hobart for this grant,” says Nadine Doucette, director of food services, Whitman-Hanson Regional School District. “Having new food prep equipment will allow us to get back to the basics of offering more homemade menu items and greater variety. We believe that fresh items and more choices equals happier students.”

The HL300 30-quart mixer, EDGE13A slicer and HCC34 food processor selected by Doucette will be used in the Louise A. Conley Elementary School.
