Traulsen and Hobart Announce Second Winner of Save Your Kitchen 2023
Weatherford Independent School District in Texas Receives Much Needed New Equipment from Traulsen and Hobart
FORT WORTH, Texas (June 20, 2023) – ITW Food Equipment Group is proud to announce the second winner of the Save Your Kitchen 2023 campaign sweepstakes held in honor of School Lunch Heroes Day. Weatherford Independent School District in Weatherford, Texas, won by random selection in the second of four drawings for 2023.
This tenth iteration of the popular K-12 kitchen equipment makeover initiative kicked off this March. Save Your Kitchen provides free Traulsen and Hobart kitchen equipment to four winning sweepstake entrants each year. Weatherford ISD is the second recipient of the new kitchen equipment prize package.
Weatherford ISD is a comprehensive community public school district serving students in kindergarten through twelfth grade from Weatherford, Texas along the state’s northern region. The district is made up of nine schools with an enrollment of about 8,000 students.
Weatherford ISD selected a One-Section Traulsen Pass-Thru Refrigerator which features more than 24 cubic feet of storage and advanced technology like Traulsen’s StayClear™ Condenser coil and Smart Control. The refrigerated pass-thru unit will be used at Hall Middle School.
The selected Hobart prize is the FP150 Food Processor. This product features a safe operation, removable feed hopper, with an all-aluminum design. Its 420 RPM cutting tool speed delivers accurate dicing and cutting without damaging the product. The FP150 Food Processor will be used at Weatherford High School.
“The equipment will allow us to offer more options for our students with less labor,” said Sheree’ Satcher, Director of Child Nutrition at Weatherford ISD. “We are focusing on trying to get more students to eat at school, and consume healthier meals, thus focusing on the “whole child” aspect that our District and Department goals align with.”
“We want to help our child nutrition professionals reach their program goals,” said Hailey Elting, Business Development Manager and K-12 Specialist at Traulsen, “and the annual Save Your Kitchen campaign helps that happen.”
The entry deadline for the third and largest sweepstake of the year’s drawing is Friday, July 14, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. Sweepstake details, entry form, products and other information can be found at www.SaveYourKitchen.com.
The sweepstakes is open to K-12 nutrition professionals in the 50 states and Washington, D.C. Among the products offered in this year’s sweepstakes are Traulsen refrigerators, a freezer or a milk cooler plus a Centerline™ by Hobart slicer or mixer, or a Hobart food processor for all four sweepstakes, and a Hobart AM16 base dish machine for the July sweepstakes only. Different products may be available for specific sweepstakes.
